Seize the moment. Remember all the women on the Titanic who waved off the dessert cart. --- Erma Bombeck
This Women's Health article is directed toward women of all ages who choose to break the power of unhealthy habits, (unhealthy eating, fears -- 'stress locks', etc.) and that do understand, despite outside 'stressors' - they believe it is time to make beneficial changes in their life. This is written for the woman who wants to pursue wellness and inner happiness, shifting from a static lifestyle to dynamic wellness.
Do you believe you deserve to be happier and have a healthy life? Ladies, a new season is upon us, I invite you to learn how your thoughts and emotions affect your health. Even if you are currently feeling mentally exhausted, have emotionally and physically run out of 'steam' or haven't exercised in years, understand - it is not too late to create beneficial changes.
Studies still show that a lot of women have yet to discover how to find time (or fail to make time) to focus on restoring their health and wellness frequently. Unfortunately, people still continue to use food for comfort. Because women's lives are filled with numerous responsibilities and obligations, some women still feel guilty if they are not always putting others first - they feel remorseful if they block out 'self-time.' Several women note that they frequently feel guilty if they decide to take a mental health day; their rational mind comes back with a reminder of why 'they need' to put everyone else first - there ends the forward action. Others verbalize that they secretly chide themselves for not starting an exercise program despite the creaks and pain twinges their back and joints communicate to them, yet no prompt motion is taken to change the situation.
Nothing in life has meaning except the meaning you give to 'it'. Ladies, now is the time to seize the moment and give new meaning to your life:
- Discover and clarify what your true inner needs and desires are. Listen to your inner needs; identify what your needs or emotions are communicating to you.
- Commit to becoming disciplined with making positive beneficial changes in your mind-body-spirit connection. Find a support person - be encouraged to create healthy change.
- Know that it is definitely ok to take time for you - set regular time aside to revitalize your spirit. Beginning with "one step at a time at a time" attitude is usually best.
- Become educated in techniques such as stress management, visualization and relaxation. Implement time-management strategies and combine these with healthy coping tools that assist you with eliminating unhealthy stress in your life. Practice 'mindful eating' and perform enjoyable exercise. Read food labels and pay attention to how your body feels after you eat different foods or the foods that you crave.
- Pursue happiness and transform your life into light and wellness. Decide to reclaim your inner sunshine, improve your health and reconnect with your inner healer.
Even though you may have missed January's wellness resolutions, remember - it's never too late to focus on your wellness. It's time to understand, when you take care of yourself -- you are taking care of your family. Total health encompasses the mind-body-spirit connection; a positive viewpoint alone can boost your immune system and protect it from stress related illnesses. Research has shown your thoughts, emotions and your beliefs have a direct correlation to your overall physical health and successes.
- Your subconscious beliefs, core values and 'rules' control your life; your thoughts affect your immune system. What you link pain and pleasure to will shape your destiny.
- Debilitating, self-destructive habits and harsh self-talk can be banished, no matter how long they have been present; this needs to change for progress to occur.
You can master your thoughts and emotions, experiencing the life you'd like to have and previously only dreamed of. In the long run, the conscious and subconscious decisions you make, form your life. What you focus on determines how you feel about you and your health. Your emotions are signals calling you to listen to and take action. Your painful body aches and emotions may just be communicating to you, "It's time to change." By paying attention to your emotions, you can change the quality of your experiences. You might ask, "Where do my emotions come from"? Your emotions are housed in your subconscious mind.
- Regardless if your feelings are positive, neutral or negative, they are determined by the rules you have set for yourself and the interpretations you attach to the events in your life. The emotions you have, are based on your interpretation of your experiences, not on the experience itself.
Your subconscious mind can help you to discover and understand what internal needs necessitate change. It can help you transform an idea into inspiration and motivation and embrace an attitude of gratitude leading you to pursue deep seated peace within your soul and fulfillment in your life. Think of your conscious mind as a camera and your subconscious mind as an insightful plate on which you make an impression, register and store your mental pictures. In this scenario, think of your subconscious mind as camera film that is developed in a darkroom. Likewise, mental images and perceptions are formed in the darkroom of your subconscious mind. (You want to decisively make a positive impression on the pictures in your mind that are developed within your subconscious mind'). Create vivid imagery that focuses on what you want! You can:
- Learn how to change halfhearted images into happy, successful pictures of you and the success in your life.
- Free yourself of unhelpful mind-set or guilt that blocks your path to wellness.
- Discover how to shift your attention and images to the healing power within. Through desire, discipline and commitment you can express and make an impact on an ideal image of perfect health to your subconscious mind - transforming imagery into a reality.
- A certified hypnotist specializing in wellness can help you can tap into your inner, subconscious mind identifying dormant emotions. In hypnosis, you can blast through blocking obstacles and limiting beliefs, making powerful desired changes permanently. A specialist can help you gain access to your inner powerful mind. Imagine a life of abundance, liberty, health and happiness. Before you know it, you too can be saying, "I mastered my block, I feel healthy, happy and peaceful. More importantly you'll say, I am worthy to succeed and I did it for me."
